The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is holding its annual Trout Heritage Day on Saturday, April 7.

There will be 20 bodies of water freshly stocked with trout to allow anglers and communities to plan activities around a known stocking date. Included among those bodies of water are the Middle Fork of the Holston River in Smyth County, Beartree Lake and the Clinch Mountain Fee Fishing Area in Washington County, Lake Witten and Lincolnshire Lake in Tazewell County, and Cripple Creek (Ravens Cliff) in Wythe County.
