Richlands defeated county rival Tazewell 8-0 in boys’soccer April 9.

The Tornado jumped to a 4-0 halftime lead on the strength of a pair of goals by Connor Vencill and one each from Levi Forrest and Colton Hartsock.  Vencill picked up a goal in the second half and Forrest added two more.

John Garrett Keene also had a second half goal. Vencill had a pair of assists and Corbin Singleton had one.  Luke Martin and Shane Vencill split time at goalie to record the shutout. The defense led by Jay Fuller, Nick Sargent, Keene, Hunter Call and Ryan Lawson only allowed seven shots on goal.

Richlands stands 5-0 on the season heading into an April 16 home match with Lebanon.
