Tazewell’s boys’ and girls’ track teams both finished third at the Ridgeview Relays April 10.

Cam Sanders won the 200 meter run in 23.53. Chancellor Harris was seventh in the 200 at 24.52 and sixth in the 100 completing it in 12 seconds.

Lucas Honaker came home eight in the 400 at 59.09 with Gavin Nunley 12 at 1:00.26. Matt Blankenship finished third in the 800 running the course in 2:24.54 with Will Greer sixth at 2:29.22.

In the 1600 Jacob Dowell was sixth in five minutes and 53 seconds and Kaleb Hurd ninth at six minutes and nine seconds.  The 4x100 relay team finished third at 45.95 and the 4x 800 relay team was fourth in 10 minutes 38 seconds.

Harris was 11 in the long jump clearing 17:05 and Honaker at 38:05 was third in the triple jump.  Josiah Jordan was fourth in the triple jump at 37:00.50 and Isaiah Rife threw the shot 36 feet and 10 inches to place ninth.

Gavin Lee took third in the shot at 110 feet with Rife fourth at 104 and Octavius Pridgen seventh at 105 feet and four inches. 

In the Girls’ meet,  Raelle Velena-White was third in the third in the long jump at 14 feet and two inches. Ariana Robinson was ninth at 11:10. White ran the 100 meters in 13:66 to finish third with Katie Sanders fourth at 1:068.

White and Saunders were second and third respectively in the 200 meters with White running 28:66 and Sanders 28:73 and Payton Harvey fifth at 30:13. Cameron Kwun ran the 800 in 2:42.14 to place second and Shianne Waters finished 8thh at 3:09.24.

Waters was third in the 1600 at 6:54.84. Harvey finished third at 19:71 and Robinson eighth in 21:01 in the 100 hurdles.   Robinson was fifth in the 300 hurdles running them in 59:89. The 4 x 100 relay team won the event in 54.57.

For Richlands Logan Altizer took fifth in the 300 hurdles in 45:90 and Shawn Toney was fourth at 16:46. Kenny Coeburn was 10th in the 800 at 2:34.48 with Sage Webb 11th in the 200 at 25:44.      

Thomas Blankenship was seventh in the shot at 37 feet six and a half inches and Waylin Foster 1oth at 36 feet six and a half inches. Foster was second in the shot at 126 feet and 11 inches.
