James Nathan Crockett, age 89, of Max Meadows, Va., passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at his home. He was born in Wythe Co., Va. on December 2, 1929, the son of the late William Burton Sanders Crockett and Della Faye McPeak Crockett. James was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lovell Crockett and a brother, William Burton Crockett. He is survived by his children, Russell D. Crockett and wife, Linda, of Adamstown, Pa., James Nathan Crockett Jr. of Columbia, Pa., C. Janice Moss and husband, Allan, of Max Meadows, Va., Peggy L. Frey and husband, Ronald, of Jonestown, Pa., David E. Crockett and wife, Kathryn, of Ephrata, Pa.; sister, Virginia Louise Amos of Wytheville, Va.; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Foster Falls United Methodist Church with the Rev. Martha Luper and the Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Foster Falls Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, Va. is serving the Crockett family.
