Mattie L. Scott, age 93, of Wytheville, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Kate Callahan Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Howard "Bud" Scott; sisters, Betty Hall and Mildred Pugh; and brother, Ray Lambert. She was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Mattie is survived by her daughter, Elaine Scott of Wytheville; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Nancy Scott, Gary and Sandy Scott, Keith Scott, and Greg and Lisa Scott, all of Wytheville; sister, Catherine Horton of Richmond; brother, Roy S. "Bud" Lambert of Michigan; granddaughters and spouses, Stacy and Chris Burkett, Elizabeth and Jason Morris, Samantha and Matt Nipper, Kaitlin Scott, and Kelly and Tbo Reed, all of Wytheville; step-granddaughter and spouse, Melaine and Frankie Scott of Wytheville; 12 great-grandchildren, and one step- great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Fairview United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend Ted Anders and The Reverend Aubrey Whitlow, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fairview Church Cemetery fund, c/o Libby Ingo, 190 E.
