June Charlene Rife Cooper, age 69, of Bastian, Va., died on Wednesday, January 30, 2019m at her home. Born on June 8, 1949, in Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Leonard James Rife and Geneva Phoebe Fuller Rife. Charlene was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed flowers, reading and collecting angels. Spending time with her family was always the highlight of her day. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Daniel Ward; and a brother, Steven Allen Rife. Those left to cherish her memories include her two daughters, Phoebe Largen of Bastian, Va. and partner, Harry Millirons and Allen and Wendi Goad of Hillsville Va.; stepchildren, Don Cooper of Austin, Texas, Debbie Cooper Guynn of Nashville, Tenn., and Dale Cooper of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Goad, Zachary Goad, Mia Cooper, Cody Guynn, Courtnee Guynn, Ayden Cooper, Cole Cooper, and Davis Cooper; great-grandchild, Phoenix Guynn; two sisters, Sharon Stover (Leon) of Bastian, Va., and Debbie Brewster (Tommy) of Bristol, Tenn.; one brother, Charlie Rife and partner, Jane Armes, and many loving and supportive nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service was held at Grapefield Church of God Saturday, February 2, 2019, receiving of friends at 2 p.m. and services at 3 p.m. Special thanks to New Century Hospice, for the beautiful angels that assisted her and Bland Funeral Chapel Highland in Bland, Va.
