HALIFAX, Va. William Scott Adams, 33, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born in Halifax, Va. on April 11, 1983. He was the son of the late Tim Adams, and Donna Hardie Henderson and L.W. Henderson. He was a former assistant baseball coach with the Halifax Middle School baseball team, and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Gordon of South Boston, Va.; mother, Donna Henderson and husband, L.W. Henderson of Halifax, Va.; step-children, Haley Mudd, and Gavin Welborn of South Boston, Va.; brothers, Joey Adams and wife, Stephanie of Halifax, Va., Brian Henderson and wife, Cathy of Halifax, Va., and Kevin Henderson and wife, Crystal of Halifax, Va.; nephews, Jace and Wes Adams, Bailee Henderson, and Easton Henderson; nieces, Maci and Addilynn Henderson, and Brinlee Henderson; grandparents, Joyce Pyle, Addison and Nancy Lewis; aunts and uncles, Dale Sparks, Dan Monette, and Candace and Eddie Elliott. He was preceded in death by his father,Tim Adams; grandparents, John William, and Merlene Hardie; grandfather, Candy Adams; and aunt, Denise Monette. A funeral service was held Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. H. Bryant Wilborn Lt. Col. United States Air Force, retired officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, May 22, 2016, immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home of his parents, Donna and L.W.
