Pauline Lester Mannon, 97, of Floyd, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Salem, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Erdia Reed Lester; husband, Troy Mannon; brother, Alton and wife, Lucille D. Lester; sister, Aluvia and husband, Charlie Jennings; sister-in-law, Geneva D. Lester; and great-nephew, John Raysor. Pauline was loving, caring, and an inspiration to all. She is survived by her son, Dean (Mary) Mannon; daughter, Lavene (Olen) Hylton; grandsons, Todd (Angie) Hylton and Adam (Christa) Hylton; great-granddaughters, Haley and Hannah Hylton; great-grandson, Austin Hylton; brother, Virgil C. (Peggy) Lester; and nieces, Nelda Kay (Bob) Raysor and Connie Jennings Graham (RD Faulkner). Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mother was a dedicated member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the church at 3883 Alum Ridge Rd NW, Floyd, VA 24091.
