Floyd County Schools are closed for the second day in a row due to the weather.

Snow fell on Tuesday leaving a two-inch accumulation in some places. Today temperatures are starting out in the teens and with the cold Arctic air now in the area, it will feel much colder. Temperatures will continue to drop during the day. A wind chill advisory goes in effect at 4 p.m. and will remain in effect until noon Thursday.

Remember to keep your pets safe in a warm place during this cold spell.
