Over 140 vendors will be participating in the Floyd County Arts and Crafts Festival this weekend.

The GFWC Floyd County Woman’s Club, Inc. is sponsor of the event, which takes place on Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 12 to 5 at Floyd County High School. Admission is free, and shuttle buses run throughout the weekend.

The 2018 festival is now in its 51st year. With vendors featuring handmade items and food, the festival offers plenty to see within both school gymnasiums and on school lawns. The cafeteria is also open with food also provided by Floyd County 4-H Clubs.

Due to limited parking on campus, festival planners suggest visitors park in the outlying satellite parking areas that have been reserved. Parking lots are located off Route 8 at the County Recreation Park and at Citizens Telephone building, and in the Town of Floyd at the county administration building, county courthouse and Skyline National Bank’s upper parking lot. Watch for signs. Shuttle buses will run throughout the festival approximately every 15 minutes. Only handicapped parking is allowed in the front school lot.

Visitors are reminded there is no smoking allowed on school grounds, inside and outside the buildings. Also no animals are allowed on school grounds with the exception of necessary working service dogs.
