PINEY FLATS, Tenn. — A Bristol man was arrested after an unidentified Piney Flats woman reported her vehicle had been burglarized Wednesday on Nelson Avenue.

Jonathan Preston Ketron was arrested and charged with auto burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told officers the burglar had taken items that were inside the vehicle, including a cellphone and credit cards belonging to a family member. Later that day, a credit card belonging to the victim was used to purchase gas at a business in Bristol, Tennessee, according to a written statement.

The investigation led Sgt. Matt Price to identify Ketron as the suspect, according to the release. Ketron was interviewed Friday and admitted to using the stolen credit card and having knowledge of the auto burglary.

He remains in Sullivan County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
