ABINGDON, Va. — The lineup for the 7th annual Thursday Jams concert series was announced this week.

The series will feature bands specializing in Americana and roots music. It is presented by Blue Ridge Beverage and will run from May 9 through July 18. The concerts will take place at the Abingdon Market Pavilion in downtown, according to a news release.

Other sponsors include Eastman Credit Union, Universal Fibers, First Community Bank, Bank of Marion, Food City, State Farm Agent Jamie Barger and Ballad Health. Media and hospitality sponsors are WECH, 99.3 The X and JJ’s Restaurant and Sports Bar.

The music will be free and family-friendly. There will also be food trucks and a beer garden. The beer garden will open at 6:30 p.m. with the concerts starting at 7 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. No outside alcohol is allowed. And in the case of inclement weather, Wolf Hills Brewery, located at 350 Park Street SE, will serve as the alternate venue.

- June 13: The New Respects

- June 20: The Commonheart

- June 27: Love Canon

- July 4: Abingdon’s Independence Day Extravaganza featuring Carolyn Wonderland

- July 11: The Happy Fits

- July 18: John Paul White
