ABINGDON, Va. — Three people have been arrested in a breaking and entering investigation in Washington County.

Kimberly Michelle Powers, 40, of Abingdon, Wayne Allen Smith, 45, of Glade Spring, and Jessie Wade Wyatt, 42, of Abingdon, have each been charged with breaking and entering, felony conspiring to commit larceny, grand larceny and stolen property with intent to sell, all felonies, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested the three individuals after an 18-month investigation into a break-in reported on Blue Springs Road in Meadowview on Jan. 19, 2018, the release states. A number of items were stolen, including a lawn mower, riding lawn mower, generator, diamond ring and various tools. The estimated value of the stolen property was $24,000, the release states.

All three were taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail. Powers’ bail was set at $5,000, Smith had $1,000 bail, and Wyatt was being held without bail.
