Appalachian Bible College’s Gospel Heralds will perform on Thursday and Friday and host a laser tag party.

A choir from Appalachian Bible College will perform a concert and host a laser tag party Thursday and Friday at Mechanicsburg Christian Church.

The 2019 Gospel Heralds, a nine-member ensemble, will present “Our God is Great & Mighty,” a collection of sacred music praising the greatness of God, Thursday at 7 p.m. at the church.

On Friday at 6 p.m. in the Joe and Doris Carr Family Life Center, the students will present “Aim True,” a youth event that features laser tag, a Bible challenge, prizes and pizza. This youth night will challenge teens to set their sights on eternal things, and not on earthly things.

A team of nine students from Appalachian Bible College, the Gospel Heralds use vocal and instrumental music along with testimonies to serve churches and youth groups across the eastern half of the United States.

“Appalachian Bible College is committed to training people to serve the Lord by serving people,” said Thomas Maurer, pastor of Mechanicsburg Christian Church and an alumnus of the college. “Their students have a servant’s heart that is obvious, and this group will be sure to be a blessing as they lift up the name of Jesus.”

Maurer said the college’s motto is “because life is for service” and that will be the force of the two-day program.

For information or for transportation to the event, call Maurer at 308-539-1764.
