All-Mountain Empire District baseball team is announcedFour players from the Fort Chiswell baseball team were recently named to the All-Mountain Empire District baseball first team
One player from George Wythe was chosen to the All-Hogoheegee District softball first team after recent voting by the district’s coaches
One player from Rural Retreat and three from George Wythe, including the player of the year, were recently selected to the All-Hogoheegee District baseball first team.
Terry Harris has been hard at work getting his car ready for his first appearance of the season at his home track at Elk Creek Dragway next Saturday (June 14).

James River defeats George Wythe in baseballThe George Wythe varsity baseball team traveled to Buchanan to play in the Region C playoffs Tuesday night and fell to the James River Knights by a 7-3 score.
The George Wythe varsity boys’ soccer team’s regional ambitions were derailed by the Bath County Chargers this past Tuesday night at Pendleton Field.
