Tazewell spoils George Wythe’s season opener 21-19The George Wythe Maroons’ football team opened up its 2008 campaign with a nail-biting 21-19 loss to the Tazewell Bulldogs Friday night in Wytheville.
The Fort Chiswell Pioneers turned an upset into a flat-out rout by scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter and wound up defeating the Rural Retreat Indians 34-0 in a non-district football game played Friday night at Community Stadium.
