Saltville considers action to allow ETSU partnershipSaltville will consider a proposed amendment to its antiquities ordinance at its April meeting that would accommodate an agreement between the Saltville Foundation and East Tennessee State University.

Rescued dog finds new home“Cliff” found a home in Charlottesville yesterday.
The region’s artisans will get their first chance for a spot of retail space in the planned artisan center come July.
The first jury session for Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway is scheduled for July 7 in Abingdon. According to a newsletter from Round the Mountain, artisans can drop off their work on July 6 and pick it up July 9.

ETSU, foundations explore partnership for excavationsSaltville’s town council is considering a partnership between the Saltville Foundation and the paleontology department of East Tennessee State University that would conduct the annual summer excavations in the well fields and temporarily curate any fossils found.
