Suspects in Wythe robbery, N.C. killing enter guilty pleas

The last of three individuals who went on an armed robbery spree that ended with the killing of a store clerk in Mr. Airy, North Carolina, in 2012, pleaded guilty on Tuesday in federal court to a number of charges that carry the potential for a life sentence, U.S. Attorney John P. Man shot by Wytheville police has criminal past

A Wytheville man who was shot by police this week when they responded to an early morning break-in call at a rental home was arrested last year and charged with abducting and assaulting a female teenager at Walmart, according to court records. He also has a criminal history that includes charges of grand larceny, aggravated robbery and kidnapping, according to those same records.
