Election results for Wythe County
Wythe County voters turned out to support the Republican ticket for statewide offices, giving Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell, Lt. Gov.-elect Bill Bolling and Attorney General-elect Ken Cuccinelli II 72 percent, 70 percent and 70 percent of the vote, respectively.
In local races, Coy McRoberts garnered 834 votes to Paul “J.R.” Gilman Jr.’s 485 to win the Lead Mines District seat on the Board of Supervisors. In a three-way race for the Lead Mines School Board post, Pat Hines came out on top with 631 votes to Sondra “Sissy” Anders’ 458 and Harry Pope’s 243.
In the Black Lick District, Stephen Sage, running unopposed for his School Board seat, received 1,109 votes. Gary Houseman easily won the Supervisor contest with 902 votes to 366 for Charles Dix.
In the East Wytheville District, Bill Kidd, unopposed, was re-elected with 1,241 votes. Danny McDaniel fended off a challenge from Jeff Lienhart for the Supervisor seat with 1,077 votes. Lienhart received 386 votes.
Delegate Bill Carrico, running unopposed, received 3,367 county votes. Across the Fifth District, Carrico garnered 13,569 votes, according to preliminary results from the State Board of Elections. Anne B. Crockett-Stark, the incumbent in the Sixth District, took 2,638 votes in Wythe County. Her challenger, Carole Pratt, received 1,038 votes in the county. Across the district, Republican Crockett-Stark was re-elected with 65 percent of the vote.

I am neither party Barefoot Freddie but it looks like the Republicans done well Nationwide. I generally vote for the individual, not the Party.
Lulu—Since Wythe is about 80% Republican, looks like Dems did fairly well—
Looks like the Democrats even voted for Republicans. To our other elected leaders, be careful about helping Obama run the USA into the sewer. Your election is coming up soon.
