Football previewIt might be hard to believe, but the mid-point of the regular high school football season kicks off this Friday night.
In a rematch of the 2007 Region C, Division 2 championship game, the Giles Spartans were able to revenge their overtime loss, beating George Wythe Maroons, 44-34, in a non-district contest held Friday night in Pearisburg.
The Floyd County Buffaloes barely avoided a major upset by scoring a late touchdown to defeat the Fort Chiswell Pioneers 28-25 in a non-district football game played Friday night at the Fort.
