Fort Chiswell defeats NarrowsThe Fort Chiswell varsity baseball team traveled to Narrows on May 2 and picked up a 9-1 victory over the Green Wave.
The George Wythe boys’ team was first and the GW girls’ team finished second in a three-team track meet held last Wednesday (April 30) at George Wythe High School.

Lady Bears beat Narrows but lose playerBland County’s eighth softball win of the season came with a cost. The Bears scored a 4-1 win over Narrows on April 24 but lost pitcher/third baseman Morgan Brizendine in the process
The Bears won one for ‘The Skipper.” On the day when the Skip Dillow Memorial Field was officially dedicated, Bland County’s Bears reached deep into their hearts and talents to put forth an effort that would have made Edgar Eugene Dillow proud.

Chilhowie defeats George Wythe 11-5The Chilhowie Warriors used a wild eight-run fourth inning to defeat the George Wythe Maroons 11-5 in a Hogoheegee District baseball game played Friday afternoon at GWHS.

FC Pioneers defeat George Wythe 6-4George Wythe traveled to Fort Chiswell Wednesday afternoon for a non-district game and fell short by losing to the Pioneers 6-4.
The Fort Chiswell boys’ track team finished first and the FC girls’ team was second in a four-team meet held Wednesday at Fort Chiswell High School.
The George Wythe Lady Maroons jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first two innings and ended up with a 17-2 victory over the Fort Chiswell Lady Pioneers in a non-district softball game played Wednesday afternoon at GWHS.
