GW defeats Rural Retreat in soccerCross county soccer rivals George Wythe Maroons and Rural Retreat Indians faced off in a contest for pride and district standing at Indian stadium on Tuesday evening, with both varsity and junior varsity games.
George Wythe traveled to Auburn on a very windy Wednesday afternoon and rallied in the top of the seventh inning to defeat the Eagles 4-2 in a non-district contest.
Thomas Craig, a senior at George Wythe High School, signed a letter-of-intent to play football at Emory & Henry College during a ceremony held Wednesday at GWHS.
