I MADE IT UP: No. 2 wife wantedTwo major events have conspired to ruin my life.
I changed over from Earthlink to Embarqmail.com. I lost all my old e-mails and now cannot paste anything into an e-mail, including those long lists of e-mail addresses that I used to address newsletters to the groups with whom I work.

OUR VIEW: Common SenseCurrent state law bans sex offenders from school property during school hours. It’s a law that makes sense. Part of the debt the men and women convicted of a sexual crime owe society is giving up the right to be around children unsupervised. Yet because of language, a disagreement over language – think definition of is – those same people may be able to be around those children unsupervised.
I recently went to the Marquee Cinemas with some friends to see the new thriller, “Untraceable,” starring Diane Lane. Lane has been a favorite actress of mine ever since I saw her in her Oscar nominated role as Connie Sumner in the 2002 thriller, “Unfaithful.” From that day forward, I have tried to catch every film in which Lane stars. Her most recent one was no exception.

“You’re usually optimistic,” said Beck, my ole Missouri mule. “Did they blow up that corn whiskey still on Iron Mountain?”
“If they did, I don’t know about it,” Clyde said. “My bad news is that they’re predicting gas prices will be up to $3.50 per gallon by summer.”
