It is beginning to occur to people that the current administration’s economic policies are not helping the nations unemployment picture.

The administration promised to hold unemployment to 8%.  We sailed passed that number and haven’t looked back.

The real number of unemployed is approaching 1 out of evey 5 Americans, or 18 1/2%.  This accounts for those people who are no longer eligible to receive unemployment checks.

Americans believed that Obama would develop a workable plan to address the nations problems.  He stated as much during the campaign.

He has failed to come up with a plan to fix the economy, the wars, foreign policy, etc.  He has had 10 months in office.  Nobody believes he hasnot had time to come up with a plan.  He indicated during the campaign & debates that he had a workable plan & proposals.

Where is the plan?

I am happy for his family that he has a job and can provide for them.

What about the rest of the voters?

Another Nickel well earned, 2012—-Ahhh, Yes—-Keep posting, my friend, so the Republicans on this forum can see where their hard earned money is going each time they Donate to the RNC—At least they are keeping you employed and helping pay for your 3 houses—-

Who knows—-The Independents and Dems on this forum who care about ‘non-biased’,‘not-paid-for’, ‘non-troll’ true posters may decide to donate a dime to their side just to fight your BS each time you post.

It could happen.

2012 makes me want to reach for my checkbook Freddie.

No one was going to come in and wave a magic wand and make it all better no matter what letter came after their name. We are reaping what we have sown for years. IF this mess gets fixed it’s going to take time and no 10 months is not enough. Republicans at this point do not want progress, they want Obama to fail. Why I won’t even try to guess. I’ve never seen such rabid hatred for a sitting president before he even took office. 2012 before you bring up the things said about Bush save it, he had been in office for a while before the Bush bashing started. Obama was bashed before he took the oath.

Any comments about Obama stating he would hold unemployment to 8% ?

At your job, what is the response you receive if you fail to deliver on your promises or targets?

The party of “no”???

That does not matter, he Democrats have a filibuster proof majority in hte Senate and a solid majority in the House.

If the Democrats were united we would not have just had this conversation.  They would have met their own self-imposed deadline of the August recess, Labor Day weekend, October 1st, November 1st, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc, etc.

The blocking is coming from your own side of the aisle.  The Blue Dog Democrats are looking to save their own political careers.  This agenda will take a back seat to that.

And The Right Is Just One Big, Happy Family Living In Their Perfect World, Right??  You May Try To Bash And Divide All You Want On This Forum But, In The End, The Voters And The Majority Will Have The Final Word In This Matter—-And If You Are Unhappy You Can Take Your Ball And Bag Of Nickels And Go Home—

Reagan was president.  It’s a good thing he didn’t promise to hold unemployment to 8%.  He had better judgement and was able to acknowledge his limitations.

He managed to bring it down without a $ trillion dollar “stimulus”.

Obama stated that unemployment would reach 10% several months ago.  Reagan the greatest of all great Republicans who is spoken of as if he is “The ONE”.  I agree with J.R.  All of these problems came after a very long time and to expect things to change in a few months is asinine.  Especially when you take into consideration that Republicans have no desire to improve things because if that happened, how could they blame the Democratic party.  When Mrs. Reagan said “Just say no”, who knew she was speaking to the Republican party as a whole.

You are right.  Obama did say it would go to 10%.

He said that after having said he would hold it to 8%, in order to get the “stimulus” money from Congress.

He got the “stimulus”, and changed his tune to reflect the 10%.

Watch, after Cap & Trade, and Health Care Reform, he will be “expecting” 11%.

I think the GOP didn’t “just say no”, they have offerred an alternative helath care plan.

Current health care plan to be voted on doesn’t curb the rising related costs.

Do you think Government officials should have to participate in the public plan?
