2012—What’s going on in NY?—I thought she was gonna back the Independent and was not forced to drop out by GOP—Can you check your sources and see what this is about?? Thanks
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

FOX NEWS—

Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.

Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens—the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same,“ she said. “In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first.“

Hoffman and Owens are competing for the 23rd Congressional District seat formerly held by Republican John McHugh, who was lured away by the Obama administration to be Army secretary.

I Think I Found My Answer,2012—-Thanks Anyway

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Late yesterday news broke that the moderate Republican Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, candidate in the hard-fought special election in New York’s 23rd Congressional district, had been driven out and the Republican party was throwing their weight behind the Palin/Limbaugh/Glen Beck endorsed radical tea party candidate instead.

Today, the moderate Republican threw her support behind Democratic candidate Bill Owens.

It has never been clearer that the Republican Party has been hijacked by extreme right wing ideologues with a radical agenda that would effectively dismantle Social Security and Medicare, and are out of step with a vast majority of Americans.

Eight extreme right wing groups spent more than $1 million on this campaign including the Minute Men, Club for Growth and the Family Research Council.

She received the nomination by party leaders but had never ran in a primary to allow the actual voters decide on who to nominate.  She holds very liberal views on social issues and the Republican voters would not support her.  I am guessing the leaders who gave her the nomination will also be gone.

She endorsed the Democrat because Owens more closely fits her ideology.  She was a “RINO”.  Republican-In-Name-Only.

The Governorshps in VA & NJ, as well as the house race in NY’s 23rd district will be the first chance some of our nations voters have to express their feeling on the direction of the country.

It will be interesting to study the verdict.

No, the words I posted still stand.

If the Dems fail any of the three elections tomorrow, then it will be viewed as a referendum on the direction they’re attempting to take the country.  I recall last year we were told they had permanently realigned Virginia as a blue state.  We will see if that is true.

You Do Recall That in VIRGINIA McDonnell cut a Deal with Virginia GOP Lt. Gov. Bolling in order to avoid a Primary, Right?? Same as NY—Party Leaders, No Primary—As you said ‘Actual voters were not allowed to decide who to nominate’—more GOP leaders By-Passing the Actual Voters—Do You Deny This??

Deny it?  No.

It was a stupid move on the part of the NY GOP leadership.  The people should be given the opportunity to pick their nominee.  The GOP leadership in NY should get booted to the curb.

Voters will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on the direction the party in control is taking the country.

If the voters support the direction the country is going, then they will give the Democrats a vote of confidence by supporting their candidates.

However, if voters do not like what they see, they will vote to change course.

2012, We both know the GOP is using the elections this year to experiment and find direction for 2010 and 2012—

I asked about Virginia,2012—Not NY——How do you feel about the direction of Virginia? Look at the State record and tell me what you think since Gilmore—

You see McDonnells record as well as I—You know his educational background and political leanings—-Was that deal GOP Politics at work??

The Dems tried to counter with McAuliff, but the true Virginia voters stopped that in the Primary-

You claim centrist views but we both know McDonnell is FAR RIGHT running on centrist values in a GOP deal in order to avoid a Primary—

I know we have our differences, but I think we are more alike in our views of moderation and being more toward center than you realize.

I just ask for an honest answer, between us, on Virginia.
