As voters prepare to vote, some of our politician’s thinking is quite glaring and serve as a snapshot of things to come, if we are not careful with our vote.
Do we want the government to intrude further into our daily lives? Do we want to carry the burden of additional taxes?
This past Thursday, while in a meeting in Pakistan, Hillary Clinton offered the Pakistanis some advice from a Democrats perspective.
“Clinton told senior Pakistani newspaper editors in Lahore, AFP reported. “The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world… We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.“

Clinton was backed up by Democratic Congressman, Barney Frank. In an interview, Frank told of the Democrats attempts to expand the role of government into our daily lives.

I believe government should be limited in size and scope. Our taxes should reflect this limited government.
Government should serve the citizens, and not the other way around.
We cast our ballots after careful consideration.
