This morning Creigh Deeds received two huge newspaper endorsements: The Roanoke Times and Hampton Roads’ The Virginian-Pilot.

Following last week’s endorsement from The Washington Post, Creigh has now won the endorsements of major newspapers from every corner of Virginia — including BOTH of Bob McDonnell’s hometown newspapers.

The Roanoke Times wrote that, “Creigh Deeds is the best candidate for the job.“  Observing he has “the guts to tell Virginians the truth,“ the paper noted that “He is better prepared to position Virginia to meet the challenges of the future… From energy development to education, Deeds demonstrates a clearer understanding of the issues and specific plans to work to better Virginia’s response.“

And after endorsing Bob McDonnell four years ago, this year The Virginian-Pilot threw its weight behind Creigh Deeds.  Calling his “a compelling voice,“ the paper noted that Creigh “has a commendable record of moderate progressivism that the state needs to break loose from the turmoil of the recession.“

Bob McDonnell is using deceptive advertising to distract voters from the important differences highlighted by these papers.  He has spent well over $6 million on Deceptive Ads since the primary.

Point well taken, Planks—-When was the last time VA voted a Gov with the same party as the seated President??

Ya gotta’ admit though, 44 yrs. was a long time for one party to control this state—

Planks,
If you believe the role of government is to help those less fortunate, if you believe immigrants are people too, if you are disgusted at the behavior of our elected leaders, the war, then let’s start by talking and get them to listen to the voters, not the corporations that donate money. It’s time to rehabilitate the words “Progressive” and “Liberal” and start looking out for each other.

The Progressives have worked hard since before the 1920’s, fighting claims such as Socialist, Communist, etc., to bring about things such as Social Security, Medicare, Equal Pay, and now, with the Liberals, toward Health-Care Reform—

These are the Winds of Change you feel, My Friend—-Keep Up The Good Fight—We have once again found our voice, We will not be silenced—And The Times; They Are A-Changin’—

Never Let The B*ST*RDS Get You Down—
