While I understand that some believe we need to wait for a bill to be completed before peeking at what is in it, I wanted to share what I ran across.

I have not begun to read it yet, but intend to make an attempt.  I am not in a position to comment.

If anyone wants to take a shot here it is.

In a press conference in September, Speaker, Nancy Pelosi said that she would absolutely post the health care bill online for 24 hours prior to having a vote.

Now she has changed her mind and will not honor her own commitment.

What is in the bill that she feels the American people should not read in advance?

If it is a good plan, why isn’t she forcing all members of Congress to use it?

On September 24, Speaker Nancy Pelosi told THE WEEKLY STANDARD that she was “absolutely” committed to putting the text of the final House bill online for 72 hours before the House votes:

TWS: Madam Speaker, do you support the measure to put the final House bill online for 72 hours before it’s voted on at the very end?

PELOSI: Absolutely. Without question.  <<<I am confused.  What is the definition of the word “absolutely”?

But tonight, when asked if Speaker Pelosi will leave the bill online for 72 hours after we see what’s in the rule, Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly replied in an email: “No; [the] pledge was to have manager’s amendment online for 72 hours, and we will do that.“

CBO estimates for the current House bill.  To be voted on today or tomorrow.
http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/107xx/doc10710/hr3962Dingell_mgr_amendment_update.pdf

Both the House & Senate current bills are available here.
http://www.thomas.gov/

Whether or not you support the bill, the summaries of the bills contained here are short and allow people to read and make an informed decision.  You can click on the full text of the bills & Congressional Budget Office cost estimates.

If these pass in the House & Senate, then the two chambers will conference and combine the two bills.

This is the offfficial government site.

Thanks, 2012——As The Great Reagan Said—‘Don’t Worry About The Deficit—The Deficit Will Take Care Of Itself.‘

Your welcome.

As for Reagan, he did not fathom a $ 1.4 trillion dollar deficit that will balloon by another $800+ billion dollars.

With the cost, taxpayers will take on the role of Sisyphus in perpetuity.
