After milking a call out of “you lie” by feigning outrage and declaring it untrue, a group of Democratic Congressmen have signed a letter seeking to give illegal immigrants access to health care.

There will be a line at the border if we do this.

Fearful that they’re losing ground on immigration and health care, a group of House Democrats is pushing back and arguing that any health care bill should extend to all legal immigrants and allow illegal immigrants some access.

The National Council of La Raza launched its own “flood their voice mail” campaign last week to put pressure on Mr. Baucus to expand coverage in his proposal to include all legal immigrants and to drop verification language in the legislation that would prevent illegal immigrants from obtaining coverage.

American voters are gaining their footing in countering the health care reform proposed by Obama and the Democrats.

The past week saw the number of citizens supporting the measure slip another two points to it’s lowest level yet.

Support has now dropped to 41%, while a full 56% believe correctly it is wrong for America.

These numbers were complied before it was discovered that a group of radical Democrats were trying to sneak a provision into the bill that will allow Illegal Immigrants to join the plan.

If such a provision succeeds, then many Americans will echo Joe Wilson’s correct label of Obama’s actions and give a collective “You lie”.

This move by Democrats will drive support even further south.

There was a CBS/NY Times poll released last week that actively sought to falsely portray the bill as having more support than is accurate.

Both liberal organizations favor the legislation, and skewed their numbers by polling a disproportionate amount of Obama supporters, ensuring an outcome that reflects their position.

This is akin to polling a group of conservatives and asking who they favor more, Huckabee or Obama.  They sought to portray this as a snapshot of voter sentiment.

It was an dishonest portrayal of reality.  A term frequently lost on the radicals on the left.

The Independents in these polls appear to have reassessed Obama’s direction & goals, and are heavily rejecting such a radical agenda.

It’s called ‘future voting base.‘  An amnesty bill is already in the pipeline.

Did you hear that Bill Clinton said there is a right-wing conspiracy against Obama?  Boy, can’t get anything past ole Bill.  I wonder if he knew a left-wing conspiracy was out to get Bush (and still is).

Oh no, a bunch of conservatives do not agree with the leftist in the White House, better make it a front page headline!!

The Democrats have signed the letter in question in an attempt to provide coverage to illegal immigrants.  How is addressing it a “smoke screen”?

planks, can I agree you?  These few Dems want illegals to have access to purchase coverage without subsidies from the govt.  And…

We wouldn’t be having this discussion if Bush had sealed our borders on the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001 and built that dang fence which is still funded.  Then we should build it along the Canadian border too.  But, let me be clear that I have nothing against Mexicans or Canadians, it’s those crazy terrorists that I don’t want here and I don’t think they’re too concerned with flashing a passport.

But on the topic at hand, I believe illegals should NOT have access to one single benefit of American life since they’ve already shown complete disregard for our immigration laws.  Allowing them to enroll is good in only one way…finding them to send them home.

One last thing.  How many people will die needlessly while we wait for the healthcare insurance reform to go into effect 3 years from now, right after the next presidential election?  I think we have a little time to debate the topic and get it right.

Yes, done that. And, I find that what’s on peoples’ minds sometimes fascinating, but, to rag on and on and on about the same old topic , It’s getting quite OLD. You’re not going to change too many peoples’ minds with your opinions, that’s a fact. So, Choose something Positive for once, lay out the plan to fix all the problems and negativity you guys are stuck on. I’ll start reading again.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.  I didn’t think anybody was reading to start with except we loopy political rants.  A few weeks ago 2 or 3 of us struggled to get anything from others but senseless jabs resembling playground antics more than intelligent debate.  I’ve found a conservative view posted on this forum is met with little more than ‘oh yeh, Bush did _____.“  Personally I have found it childish, trite and proof positive humans will often follow an earthly idea for no reason they can state.

That being said, although not prepared to walk hand-in-hand into the collective, I will tone down my rhetoric as I fear I have been lured into similar childish and trite behavior.  All while truth is on my side.

Godspeed.

My offering truth is the only reasonable conclusion to which one can arrive due to the rarity of factual corrections or logical rebuttals to the content of my posts.  Lots of attacks on me, my peers and our sources but very little in the way of substance.  As I’ve stated in other threads, I attacked back and was wrong to do so.  I look forward to learning more about the different views represented on this forum.
