This was my first 4th of July in Wytheville (we moved here about 3 weeks ago)  and it was great! I was able to sit on my porch and hear the Shakers’ playing in the park. My husband and I walked down to see the fireworks show. It was great!!! What a great way to enjoy Independence Day!

“Man could not live if he were entirely impervious to sadness. Many sorrows can be endured only by being embraced, and the pleasure taken in them naturally has a somewhat melancholy character. So, melancholy is morbid only when it occupies too much place in life; but it is equally morbid for it to be wholly excluded from life.” Emile Durkheim

Welcome to Wytheville, I hope you enjoy our beautiful community! you’ll find the people here very friendly and kind, and willing to give you a hand if yu need it. We have some of the best churches around, it you like to attend, and there are some great social groups and nice entertainment, including what is robably the best dinner theater on the East Coast, The Wohlfahrt Haus.

If you have children, you fill find our schools to be ezcellent, with classes that aren’t too big, and wongerful teachers who really care about their childrens’ education.
Enjoy our little hamlet,we are glad to have you@

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I have heard so many great things about living here, now I just need to get out and experience everything and met some new people!
