Yep, time to chime in on the Waxman-Markey climate bill which passed the House last Friday. I’ve emailed my congressman (Spratt-D SC5) to inform him that he will not be returning to Washington next year. He voted in favor of the bill as did Boucher (D VA9). Something has got to be done about all this government intrusion! A federal building code including plug-ins for electric cars? A board to rate your home for efficiency before you can sell it? Water regulation? Increase fuel costs? Increase electric costs? Higher prices on everything on every retail shelf? This is nuts.
So I should be able to buy a home, plug in my new GM electric car and finance both through GE. What a swell deal! Since my electric bill “will necessarily skyrocket” (Obama), I won’t be able to drive my little green car.
Please do you own research on this bill and call your Senators. If we can defeat healthcare reform and cap & tax, then we have a good chance at squashing the socialist revolution. Time is of the essence.
