So, it looks to me like whoever started this post didn’t have all their facts straight and should have worded it more carefully. They made it sound like this was an actual funeral procession going to the Cemetery when in fact it was the family and friends headed to the funeral home. They also made it sound like the trooper did this on purpose. If the State or County set up road checks, they do them at Random sites. The 4 - way intersection is just one of the many straight stretches of highway that they have regular check points set up at any given time. I am so sorry for the family and none of this should have been going on. I agree that the trooper should have let the rest go after pulling the one with the expired sticker out of the line. I understand that the law has a job to do and since there was no hearse or other police leading this line of traffic he was just stopping traffic in general. The guy who got the ticket was honest to admit to some people that he was in the wrong and didn’t seem as upset as anyone else. I am in no way taking sides but do feel we should hear from the Trooper. I know the man and will ask that he posts his reasoning behind all of this. Again, I am so sorry to the family, nothing, not even all this mess can be as bad as losing your child.

OK,...........not a funeral procession just people going to the funeral home. Motorcycles with no insurance. What would happen if they crashed into my car with no insurance who would pay…...........thats right me.
Marni talks about being an upstanding member of the community and I believe that but after further research why not name the individuals stopped and citied. You have named the Trooper by name so lets be fair. I would bet my paycheck that the people stopped are not as upstanding in the community as Trooper Pruitt.

I do hate the little gilr passed away as she was sweet as she could be. But she also loved police officers as I seen her at Speedwell one day excited because there was a deputy there talking to her and she was grinning ear to ear. I hope that deputy realizes how much he made that girl smile by just talking to her

I think all of you that have had criticism of Marni or her family should be ashamed of yourselves.  Let this go!  This family just lost a precious little girl.  This issue should never have been put on here to start with and when it was, it should have been totally factual.  Let it rest!  When someone starts making comments about someone’s character, especially the mother of this child, things have gone way too far.  Please let this go.

I said Marni and her mother are fine people…...........but I want them to put out the names of the people that were stopped and ticketed…...........cause when they do everyone that know them will go “Oh, OK” cause they are not upstanding members of the community more like a thorn in the side.
