Hi everyone,

My name is Karen and I am new to Wytheville.  I am just wondering what are some interesting places to visit or places to have fun.  I am excited and looking forward to experiencing all that Wytheville and the surrounding area has to offer.

Thanks in advance! :-)

KAREN!!!!  You’re in Wytheville!?!? :) So excited!!!!! Now I’ll have a friend! haha
And I know this HAS to be you. I mean, really, what are the chances of someone else named Karen Groce having an Emile Durkheim quote in her signature? But seriously…. I’m back and forth between Radford and Wytheville for the next two weeks (until I start my VT UB job), so we MUST MUST MUST get together!

I’ll be back in Wytheville Wednesday evening.  I’m meeting with the grad director for the Women’s and Gender Studies graduate program at VT earlier that day (did I tell you, I might be going for the grad certificate so I can teach Women’s Studies as an adjunct! dream job!) but I should be back by 5:00ish.  Want to do something Wednesday? or Thursday? or Friday? or… yeah… I pretty much have no life.

Let me know if you’re up for it!
Dinner? Starbucks? Walk somewhere on the NRV trail? read random sociological theory and reflect on our lives? ha!
Or, hey, wanna come over to my parents’ house and do a movie/pizza/sociology-talking evening?

The fact I am THIS excited is kind of sad. I have a frrrrriend! :)

Seriously though, miss you and hope you like Wytheville! You’ll have to let me know where you’re living. Call me!

I’m really not crafty at all (I try… it’s tragic!) but I’ve heard good things about your shop. I have a friend who works at Radford University, and she ‘s a big fan! :)

Karen-  Was nice running into you in the big DOLLAR TREE.  I’m now the proud owner of a bag of Charm’s BlowPops (minus two… I was hungry) :)  I hope to hit up the gym soon (maybe tomorrow or Friday). Let me know if you want to join.  Student ID will get you a reduced rate…. and you know I’m all for reduced rates ;)

thanks, Amy Lynn’s Attic, I am an amateur at scrapbooking. I enjoy it, so taking a class would be great.
