It seems to me that each time that I get the ENTERPRISE that it gets smaller. I think that they need to work on getting more stories and pictures in the paper. It doesn’t all have to be bad news as wrecks or robberies. This is news and is of interest of the community.
They could put sections in the paper of events that are happening. More on parades - marches- meeting- plays - singing at churches, etc. Activities that are going on at ALL the schools , elementary, middle and high schools. Be fair and give equal space and news from all schools. Adding pictures of this helps because I know all kids love to see their picture in the paper.
This also sales papers too. I always have to buy several papers each time I have had birthday or anniversary pictures in the paper of my family.
They could add more on healthy living and eating, by giving a recipe each paper complete with tasty picture of the food. Add information of calories and cost of preparing and fat content.
Add more pictures of dogs and cats that need loving families to adopt them from the animal shelter. They have so many and a picture is worth a thousand words when you see the faces of the dogs and cats that only want you to love and care for them. Add more to the description of the animals as ( good for family with children - or that it should be the only dog or if it gets along with cat. etc.). This could be helpful to people looking for animals and for the ones at shelter to save time for them. This would be a great page to place ads of animal related business places from town - and vet ads.
Have a suggestion ad put in the paper to get readers ides of what they want in the paper.Then work to give them what they want and need to keep buying your paper.

I was glad to see the articles in the Enterprise about the DOGS—-  On page A4 under the VIEWPOINTS were interesting articles from LIZA FIELD and pictures of children looking at dogs in cages that are up for adoption i assume. Below that was a LETTER TO THE EDITOR about Pets needing protection too. Both of these were very good reading. THANKS

That’s the reason I don’t read the Enterprise. As I’ve said a hundred times before, to me, there’s not 75 cents’ worth of paper in that rag, let alone content. And don’t even get me started on the poor grammar and spelling mistakes!

l JUST CHECKED OUT THE LATEST ENTERPRISE - GREAT JOB ON REPORTING THE SPORTS IN THE COUNTY THIS ISSUE. GLAD TO SEE PICTURES OF ALL 3 COUNTY SCHOOLS—PICTURES WERE CLEAR AND OF DIFFERENT PLAYERS—IMPORTANT ISSUE ALSO. IT TAKES A (((TEAM)))) TO PLAY AND WIN NOT JUST 1 PLAYER. THANKS .

“No news is good news.“

Not always !!!! People of Wythe County I’m sure expect there to be good and bad news in the Enterprise. There just needs to be other informative information and articles for them to read and see in the paper also. That way its a WIN-WIN for everone. People get the news and the newspaper sales papers.

Wythe county is also very lucky to have lots of volunteer groups: lions clubs, rescue squads, etc. Why not do feature articles on each of them. I think that would encourage membership and ways to donate to the groups and also let those in need know of resources that they may not already use.

There sure are alot of other groups. Thanks for the ideas. The Humane Society and the PTO from the Schools as far as fund raisers and updates on projects at schools. Parents should be more aware of whats going on in the schools but alot of parents have no idea of changes and new accomplishments thru selling and membership drives for the clubs.
