On this day before Thanksgiving I just wanted to express my thankfulness, and invite others to express themselves also.

I feel blessed in so many ways:  family and friends around me, reasonably good health, work that I love doing, and just to top it off…a country that allows a forum such as this where people can speak their mind without fear of persecution from the government.  Though we may have had some name calling among ourselves here, we did not have thugs track us down and come to our door because of an opinion we expressed that may not agree with the official policy.  There was a lot of thoughtful (and some not so thoughtful) discussion during election season on this forum.  The greatest benefit, I think, is that people were exposed to opinions other than their own…expressed by other real people rather than only TV talking heads.
