According to WSLS, VDOT will be hosting an open forum at the Fort Chiswell High School on December 4th from 4 PM to 7 PM to discuss proposed improvements to the I 77 / I 81 corridor through Wythe County.

I own property adjoining I 81 in town, and have received a registered letter from the state informing me of soil tests that may be done on my property.  All my neighbors received them as well.  So we’re wondering if some Imminent Domain might happen in the next few years.

I saw the notice for the public information meeting in the paper but must confess I don’t know much about it.  Do we know what proposals or options are on the table, or will all of that “be revealed” at the meeting 12/4/08?
