Obama is spending fortunes to be heard and seen 24/7 on radio, newspaper, the internet, within video games, conventions and of course on TV.  The funny thing is that he is hiding in plain sight - specifically, people are only seeing and hearing what his campaign carefully crafts.  In other words, Obama is talking and not listening.  He is not answering questions.  He is not engaging in debate.

Obama has not given a press conference in over a month, and has only allowed a few interviews to celebrities that are sympathetic to his campaign.  He is not providing any opportunity for anyone to seek clarification or explanation on his policies, nor is he addressing any of the multitude of concerns over his past performance or lack of experience.

From The Dallas Morning News:

And it does seem true that the [Obama] campaign is allowing for more friendly media [referring to the campaign’s recent dismissal of journalists from papers that endorsed McCain, and the inclusion of additional journalists from smaller papers catering to the black population]. But that should come as no surprise - Sen. Obama hasn’t done a press conference in more than a month, but he’s given “exclusive” interviews to Jon Stewart, Rachel Maddow and Mario Lopez. This should tell you something - Sen. Obama is sitting on a lead and doesn’t want to risk aggressive questions by unbiased political reporters.

It’s a shame Obama cannot be engaged and is merely content dolling cash from his war-chest.  He’s hiding behind his money and the biased media he wields.

A PARTIAL list of Obama’s interviews in October:
Tom Brokaw, Steve Croft, Newsweek, ESPN, John Gibson, Time, Today, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, NPR, Harry Smith, Bloomberg News, Charlie Gibson, Stars & Stripes, Anderson Cooper, Conan O’Brien.  This is not a complete list, it simply is a list that I could easily verify, it also does not contain any local news outlets.
He definely is in plain sight, but I don’t see the hiding part.
