We know the media is doing all it can to help elect Obama.  Claiming many things abut the McCain supporters.  Manwhile, in two separate incidents in this past week, two female McCain supporters have actually been physically attacked by Obama supporters.

While the Democrat-leaning media continues to scare undecided voters with bedtime stories about some mythical angry McCain supporter whom nobody has seen, here is a real district attorney’s complaint documenting an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: “Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain.”

McCain Volunteer attacked, assailant Carves Letter “B” Into Her Face
PITTSBURGH—A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.

Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim’s car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter “B” into her face, Richard said.

Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank’s surveillance cameras.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.

From KDKA       “Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter “B” in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.

Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car.“

“We know the media is doing all it can to help elect Obama.  Claiming many things abut the McCain supporters.  Manwhile, in two separate incidents in this past week, two female McCain supporters have actually been physically attacked by Obama supporters.“ The volunteer in New York was attacked in Mid-September.  I read several different accounts of the attack and didn’t find anything saying it was an Obama supporter.  It may have been but I can’t find anything that says that.  Maybe it has something to do with the campaigns lasting almost 2 years and he went over the deep end because he is sick of them.

This is the victim account “I said, “What are you doing? You can’t do that!” And he was red in the face screaming, “You people are ridiculous!” And I said, “Yeah, whatever, but you can’t do that.”
So I reached for the sign that he ripped up, and he grabbed another sign, broke it, and ripped it to shreds. And when I said, “You can’t do that,” he took the stick from the sign and started beating me on the head with it. He broke the skin on my head, he scratched my wrist, and almost broke my glasses, and then he left.
I followed him down the stairs to the subway until I could get the police and I said, “You’re not going to get away with it.” And as soon as he saw the police he immediately went calm. He still had the stick in his hand, and you could see the injury on my face, and he admitted it. He was arrested. He actually said, “I don’t know why I did this. It’s just those signs, and this election, it has me so upset.”

Do you think Foxnews is also “doing all it can to help elect Obama!?“

Nobody wants to mention that SHE MADE IT UP???
“In less than 24 hours, Ashley Todd has gone from being featured on the Drudge Report and conservative talk radio—the John McCain supporter robbed and then branded with a ‘B’ on her face in Pittsburgh—to a sad person who now admits she made up that appalling story.

Now the Drudge Report, which ballyhooed the original story on Thursday, has to admit in bold headlines “She made it up!“

The fallout?

The “liberal media” didn’t create this story and didn’t really knock it down, either. The Pittsburgh police did their job, checking out inconsistencies in her story.“

I have now heard that the girl in Pittsburgh made up that story.  She did not do McCain any favor by lying.  She was wrong and needs to be prosecuted for filing a false report.

I do believe when someone commits a crime they deserve prosecution.  Same goes for any ACORN worker submitting false voter registration cards.  They should also be prosecuted.

With that said,  The story of the lady being attacked in NYC was witnessed and verified.  Imagine a large man attacking a woman on the street.  This attacker needs to also be prosecuted.

I am not disputing that the guy who hit the lady with a sign shouldn’t be held accountable.  He absolutely should be prosecuted.  I am questioning the “Obama supporter” statements.  He said it was “this election” not I am an Obama supporter.  Maybe he is but is it really relevant to the campaign itself?

The Republicans put the story about the young woman from Pittsburgh out prior to verifying her story.  Matt Drudge put in big bold letters that a McCain volunteer was assaulted by an Obama supporter.  When they had to recant, much much smaller headline.  It was a lame attempt to connect Senator Obama to this reprehensible act.  I’ve heard comments about a “thugocracy” and this was a pathetic attempt by the Republican party to perpetuate that story.  I’ve defended Senator McCain from the racist accusations but this smacks of an attempt to drum up support thru subversive racist means.  It’s not an overt racist verbage but to put the seeds of doubt out to those who have underlying questions about race.  We have evolved as a nation but the under current is still there, and Republicans have become masters at subtle and some times not so sublte manipulations.

This lie was used by McCain, Conservative talk radio, conservative bloggers and others as scare tatics.
Last night I saw a TV station in PA talking about how a McCain media consultant was pushing both radio and TV stations to run the story.  Also saw a talking point memo from Fox News VP to all Fox News programs telling them to use the story, I will give him credit(the Fox VP) because he stated in the memo that if it was a hoax McCain was finished because of the campaign pushing the story.  I understood from his comment that the McCain campaign was asking Fox News to spread the story.

The thread should be locked?  McCain campaign tries to use that poor young woman’s story without further investigation. Now that the “victim” has recanted her claims and the mud that the Republicans attempted to throw was blown back on them this is irrelevant.  I get it.

This lie was used by McCain

She filed official charges with the police that this event happened.  It was perfectly reasonable for anyone to be discussing her claims.  Now she’s revealed she was lying, so debating the whole thing is a waste of time.  Also, I like the way you try to twist things to make it sound like McCain was lying himself, or was aware of her lie.  Bending and twisting as usual I see.
