Since launching this forum we have tried to be very hands off, allowing the community to to form the direction they would like. Given the recent influx of “new members” (many of who’s IP’s are very much outside our region) who almost exclusively shill for one party or the other; I may be willing to lock down registration till after the election. Or would you just prefer to ignore them? What do you think?

How about a challenge question?? in the log in process? To lock down registration my “choke off legitimate new subscribers? And besides, the election is only about 3 weeks away?

How about setting some rules for new subscribers?? Like must make 5 posts, before they can start a new thread?

If you need help moderation, send me an email, I administrate, one, and moderate several email lists.

I think the usa is what we have to vote for but how do you know what is best we little guys are in the dark

A lock down is another form of limiting speech.  We don’t know what legitimate subscribers may want to share their views with us.  Give us enough credit to be able to read what we want and sort through it.  Even the shills, though annoying, may have legitimate information or a legitimate point to share.  Education isn’t always cut and dried.  Let’s sort through it ourselves.
