Today I received a letter with the heading “EMERGENCY TELEGRAM” requesting contributions to “McCain-Palin Victory 2008”, I am confused by this letter.  ALL TAXPAYERS have already financed McCains campaign when he chose to accept public financing.  As part of accepting public financing he agreed not to accept ANY additional contributions.  The Law to allow for public financing was written by Senators McCain and Finegold, in fact this is one of the bills he uses to call himself a mavrick. 
My question:  Is he breaking his OWN law or did he write in an escape clause thereby taking the taxpayers for a ride????  I think McCain is trying to pull a fast one on taxpayers.
