Is the avatar option permanently disabled or will users be allowed to add avatars in the future?

We will look into enabling that option. We just have to consider that if we enable that we also have to police it, as I have seen many cases where some things less than appropriate are used as avatars.

You ask for Avatars and they are now enabled. Any violations of the site terms of use will result in a ban. Be careful!

And now you get to see my wonderful mug (of course this was taken almost 7 years ago when I first started working for MG. I really should take a new one.)

I think it hates me :(
I’ve sized the picture down to under 100 x 100
and saved as both a gif and jpeg file
and it still won’t upload for me… it just keeps telling me the support file types
