In the August 16 2008 issue the Wytheville Enterprise featured a picture of McKenzie Ward donating her hair to lock of love.  You incorrectly listed her mom as Kandi Ward her moms name is Cindy Ward and this caused quite and uproar in Grayson County where she is from.  Will you please put a correction in your paper and be considerate of your information when it is printed.  You never know when someone uses your paper to start a war.  Thanks so much.

If that started a war - people need something else to worry about than the spelling of a name.

I think you may have misunderstood.  Do you have children?  How would you like for someone else to claim to be their father when you are the one raising them because some piece of crap walked out on you.  Kandi Ward is not the mother of my children. That is the whole point.  I am their mother.  James is their father.  I think I deserve the credit for being there for my girls when he walked out on me for her.  That’s all I was trying to say and she got my daughters hair cut behind my back after I told their dad I did not want it cut.  I think I could find some other way to hurt the other parent then going through their children.

This is my niece that is being discussed. Obviously WILL FC didn’t understand what my sister meant when she was talking about starting a war. What that meant was that my ex-brother in law and his new wife (Kandi) had that article put in the paper using their names as my nieces parents to upset my sister.  I was with her the day we took her children back for visitation with their father and asked him not to get McKenzies hair curt. His wife Kandi did it just to upset my sister. I hope now WILL FC understands the situation. And let me say I hope this doesn’t happen to you. My sister is a wonderful mother to her girls and if they are in the paper she needs to be recognized as the mother not some woman that has no idea what it means to be a mother. A real mother doesn’t do things to upset the children in any way, this woman does whatever she can to keep a fight brewing.
