I just made a comment to a story at 5:41 EST and the site reported it as 4:41. I went into my control panel and specified the correct time zone (it was defaulted to UTC +0), but that did not affect the timestamp of the comment. I then tried selecting “Daylight Saving Time” and now it shows the correct time. I don’t think the intended behavior of the ExpressionEngine software is for every user to have to manually change their daylight time setting in spring and fall, so something is misconfigured somewhere (or the board defaults to the Central time zone). I logged out and viewed the story again, and the comment was shown with the incorrect 4:41 timestamp.
