I don’t remember seeing that the Wytheville newspaper was going from 50 cents to 75 cents per copy.  I stopped by the Go-Mart Wedneday morning and found out when I went to pay for a copy.  That’s a heck of a deal.  We go from three papers a week down to two and the cost is now back up for three.  I think two papers per week is plenty but 75 cents per copy is excessive.  If it was Roanoke or Bristol I’d understand it.  Guess that was the plan all along.  Make the change then wait a month or so until everyone forgets, then sneak the cost increase in on them.  Probably the rising cost of fuel, I’m sure.  It’s $3.46 per gallon.  The lowest it’s been in months.  Sounds like one of AEP’s tricks.

Everytime I come into Wytheville and read the sign that says, “A warm welcome to Wytheville” I just can’t help but smile!

I personally haven’t read the Enterprise for quite some time. I don’t think there’s 75 cents’ worth of paper in the rag, let alone content.

I thought that they were supose to extend the subscriptions of the paper because they cut it from 3 papers a week to 2.  My paper wasn’t -  Its says it was suppose to run out on 11-08-08—and I didn’t get a copy yesterday on the 5th—- SURPRISE again.

The price was originally 75 cents when it was only two days per week.  So we’re back where we were in the first place.  Technically, you get 50% more content in each of the two editions.
