A black bear was spotted roaming around the south side of Wytheville Tuesday, July 29th.  At 11 AM police said he was last seen around Bob-B-Market, which is near the Jefferson and 4th street intersection.

Our preschool appreciated the in-person warning we received by the county EMS director, so we could keep our children indoors.

Was the bear ever seen again?
