Twenty teams compete in benefit tournament at Olde Mill Golf Resort

The Annual Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows Golf Tournament was held at the Olde Mill Golf Resort at Laurel Fork Tuesday, June 12.
Twenty teams were present for the 10 a.m. shotgun start. After the tournament, lunch was served to the participants.
Winning first place was the team of Dwight Cloud, Larry Goad, Darrell Agee and Harlon Banks, who had a 19-under par. They received a one day/one night stay at Olde Mill.
Second place went to the team of Mark Wood, Mark Langille, Ronnie Cardwell and Steve Berrier, from Reidsville, North Carolina.
This team received a free round of golf from Olde Mill. Third place winners were the U.S. Food Team of Bill Truxal, Jeff Gring, Tommy East and Brian Biar. Each received a cash prize of $25.
All winners received a golf plaque from Laurel Meadows. Winner of the driver giveaway was Danny Dalton of Hillsville.
Closest to the pin on hole #14 was Jennifer Cortez, an employee of Laurel Meadows.
Longest drive on hole #4 for the ladies was Audra Weddle.
Longest drive on hole #4 for seniors was Leon Nunnink. Longest drive on hole #4 for men was Brad Gentry.
Closest to the line on hole#12 was won by Ronnie Cardwell.
Rhonda Reef, acting administrator of Heritage Hall-Laurel Meadows, and Betty Banks, coordinator of the 2007 tournament, said they appreciated all participants and sponsors.
