The nearly week-long county-wide annual celebration of music is under way in anticipation of the performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday on the main stage at Davis Valley Winery.
Saltville hosted local musicians at Palmer Mill and Chilhowie had music at the Lion’s Club Monday. On Wednesday, Marion hosts the “Official Musical Ambassador for the Tennessee National Guard” at 7 p.m., at the Lincoln Theatre.  Admission is free and tickets are available at the theater and at town hall.
The festival moves tomorrow to Davis Valley Winery north of Groseclose off Interstate 81 Exit 54.
On Thursday a $20 ticket gets entrants into a long afternoon and evening of great music:
3 p.m.- Mac Puckett & the Good Company Band
3:45 p.m.- Pine Mountain Railroad
4:30 p.m.- Lou Reid & Carolina
5:15 p.m.- Larry Sparks & the Lonesome Ramblers
6 p.m.- Mac Puckett& the Good Company Band
6:45 p.m.- Pine Mountain Railroad
7:30 p.m.- Lou Reid & Carolina
8:15 p.m.- Larry Sparks & the Lonesome Ramblers
9 p.m.- Goose Creek Symphony
Tickets Friday are $22 for shows by more bands.
1 p.m.- Appalachian Trail
1:45 p.m.- Larkins
2:30 p.m.- Fescue
3:15 p.m.- Michael Reno Harrell
4 p.m.- Rhonda Vincent & the Rage
5 p.m.- Supper Break
6: p.m.- Appalachian Trail

8:15 pm- Michael Reno Harrell
9:15 pm- Rhonda Vincent & the Rage
Saturday tickets are $25 and the music goes on.

3 p.m.- Nothin’ Fancy
3:40 p.m.- Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys
4:20 p.m.- Special Ed & Shortbus
5 p.m.- Supper Break
6 p.m.- Big Country Bluegrass
6:40 p.m.- No Speed Limit

Three-day passes to the festival are $55. Admittance for children under 12 is free with a paying adult.
The festival will be held rain or shine, with two large tents available for shelter. Coolers will not be allowed in the performance area, and outside alcohol will not be permitted. Pets on leashes are welcome, and people attending should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
