The Tractor Ride started at Reed’s Excavating Shop and travelled on Black Ridge Road, Union School, Conner Grove, Chestnut Creek, and Kyle Weeks Road. After a two and a half hour ride through the countryside Saturday, the caravan arrived at the Willis Firehouse (Station #2) where they were displayed in the Tractor Show.
The event had 46 tractors, and raised $1,200 for the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department to buy emergency equipment.
This was the first time for the event. The Fire Department is planning to make the Show and Ride an annual event, taking place in June.
