Clark

Richard Keith Clark, 45, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008.
He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. He graduated from Marion Senior High School where he was a band member and was also a graduate of police science from Wytheville Community College.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Alaska with the military police, and was a police officer in Glade Spring, Chilhowie and Marion with total service of more than 25 years.
He was the D.A.R.E. officer in Marion. He was a registered Boy Scout having served as Camp Program Director for B.S.A. Blue Ridge Mountain Council where he founded several innovative and cultural programs that are still in existence today.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Robinson Clark of Atkins; two sons, Benjamin Clark and Samuel Clark, both of Atkins; his father and mother, Richard and Barbara Clark of Atkins; one brother and sister-in-law, Aaron and Pooneh Clark of Cary, N.C.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnny and Lois Robinson of Marion; two brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Joe and Angie Robinson and George and Jill Robinson, all of Marion; three nieces, Megan Brooke Robinson, Kasey Jo Robinson, Katelyn Noel Robinson, all of Marion; two nephews, Alex Robinson and Hunter Robinson, both of Marion; two aunts, Dawn and Stuart Sigmon of Princeton, W.Va., and Judy and Norman Goodman of Independence, Ky.; two uncles, William “Bill” Catron, and Fred and Charlotte Clark, all of Atkins; and several cousins. Many friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, 132 Churchland Dr., Atkins, with the Rev. Roger Frost, the Rev. Eddie Beck, and the Rev. Grady Byrd officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service.
Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667.

Dubolino

Beverly N. Anderson Dubolino, 69, died Jan. 10, 2008, at home with her family by her side.
She was born and raised in Marion by the late Kel and Jessie Buchanan Anderson.
She had been a resident of Wilmington, Del., since 1972, previously residing in Marcus Hook, Pa., for 10 years.
Retiring in 1992, she was employed by DuPont for 27 years where she worked in the human resources department of the Nemors Building in Wilmington, Del.
She was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, walks and her dog, Blu.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kel and Jessie Buchanan Anderson, and sister, Gerri Oakes.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Samuel W. Dubolino; her siblings, Evelyn Gumbash and Clifton Anderson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery.

Lovern

John Howard (Dick) Lovern, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at his home in Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Jesse S. Lovern, and a sister, Tress L. Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Hilda Lovern of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Terry Dishroon of Tucson, Ariz.; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa; one sister, Lou L. Delp of Dothan, Ala.; one niece, Linda Delp Little of Dothan, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Jonathan, Casie and Joseph Dishroon, all of Tucson, Ariz.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the heart fund or charity of choice.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz.

Ryan

Lori Shreeves Ryan, 42, of Chilhowie, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Shreeves, and a brother, Chuck Shreeves.
She was a graduate of the Virginia Highlands Community College nursing program.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Mike and Judy Shreeves of Glade Spring; one son, Dylan Ryan of Meadowview; one daughter, Ashley Ryan of Meadowview; former spouse, Vernie Ryan of Meadowview; one brother, David Shreeves of Bristol; special uncle, Fred Edmonson of Chilhowie; special sister-in-law, Marie Ryan of Meadowview; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon Jan. 14, 2008, in the D.R. Henderson Funeral Home.
Minister Allen Umbarger officiated the services. Burial followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2008, prior to the service.
D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
