Mary Ellen Miller
In loving memory of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all she knew. Mary Ellen Miller of Floyd September 17, 1957 - August 29, 2007 - may all her pain and suffering be at rest. She will never be forgotten . Maybe she will have finally found her highest reward, peace in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her father, Taulbee Gilbert, and two brothers, Ernest T. Gilbert and Billy Lee Gilbert.
She is survived by: her husband, William M. Miller; daughters, Debra A. Lozano, Connie S. Booher, Marsha L. Dixon, Ashley N. Miller, Eva Jo Miller; nine grandchildren whom she all loved dearly with special thoughts to her inspiration Aiden; two sisters, Peggy Lois Songer, Patricia Ann Main; three brothers, James J. Gilbert, Roger Gilbert, Bobby Gilbert; and mother, Eva Gilbert.
Funeral service was conducted Friday, August 31, at 3:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Mr. Perry Hall officiating.
IVY BERNICE MULLINS
BASSETT-Ivy Bernice Mullins, 79, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on March 10, 1928 to the late Harry Osborne and Vicie Woody Osborne. She was of the Holiness faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Miller Mullins and infant son Hugh Monroe Mullins, Jr., sister, Clara Payne, brother, Thomas Howard Osborne and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Mitchell.
She is survived by: five daughters, Rachel Marie Hall and her husband Pete of Floyd, Wanda Lee Whalen and her husband Glen of Bassett, Lena Kay Carroll and her husband David of Bassett, Beverly Jean Younce of Floyd and Neida Faye Coleman and her husband Steve of Bassett; two sons, Lionel “Jack” Mullins of Hampden, West Virginia and James “Danny” Mullins and wife Cynthia of Bassett. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Collins-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett. Burial followed at Ross Harbour Church Cemetery.

BREANNA SNOW PEAKE
DUGSPUR-Breanna Snow Peake, 17 has gone to be with her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for eternity. Breanna is now drawing and painting in heaven and will be sadly missed. Breanna is survived by her mother Sandra Trena Peake & fiancé James Stanley of Dugspur; father & step-mother Ernie & Rachel Peake of Mt. Holly, NC; brothers Aaron Christopher Peake and Marshall Stanley of Dugspur and Taylor Stanley of Greenville, SC; sister Shannon Peeples of Pulaski; maternal grandparents Glen & Mozell Quesenberry of Willis; paternal grandparents Jay & Snow Deer Peake of Pulaski; maternal great grandmother Elizabeth Sutphin; special grandparents Lowell & Bitsy Stanley of Laurel Fork; niece Charli Jackson of Pulaski; aunts and uncles Charlie & Donna Smith, Patsy & Rudy Turman, Randall & Priscilla Quesenberry, Marietta Lawson, Anthony & Virginia Quesenberry, Dane Peake and all her special cousins and extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Indian Valley Church of God at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Poston officiating. Burial will follow in the Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery. The family received friends at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Dugspur on Wednesday night from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
ALLISON REBECCA TURMAN
WILLIS-Allison Rebecca Turman, 14, born December 1, 1992, died September 2, 2007, and is in heaven singing with the Angels.
Survivors include: her parents, Rudy and Patsy Turman; sister, Scarlett Turman; grandparents, Harold and Alta Turman, Glen and Mozell Quesenberry; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Sutphin; aunts and uncles, Judy and Terry Witt, Donna and Charlie Smith, Randall & Priscilla Quesenberry, Trena Peake and fiance’ Jamie Stanley, Marrietta Lawson, Anthony and Virginia Quesenberry; special great aunt and uncle, Fred and Kathryn Gerald.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, at the Indian Valley Church of God, with Rev. Kenneth Poston and Rev. Joe Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery.
Allison was the light of our life and will be missed forever.
